SCHOOL RULES

School rules are shared with entire staff and are consistently and fairly enforced. Listed below are general rules and related behaviours of particular emphasis

Be the right place, at the right time, doing right thing

 

  • Do not enter the campus earlier than 30 minutes prior to the start of school because no supervision is provided prior to that time.
  • No children are allowed in classrooms or school buildings without teacher supervision.
  • Play in designated areas on the playground.
  • No shouting is permitted in classroom areas.
  • Be kind in what you say and do.
  • Treat adults and peers with respect, valuing differences in others.
  • No inappropriate language or gestures, profanity, or vulgarity.
  • No bullying or harassing behaviors.
  • No use of technology for harassing (e.g., email, texting, or posting unkind information on websites).

 

Keep hand, feet and objects to yourself.

 

  • Play involving bodily contact is not permitted.
  • No fighting or acts of aggression, and no spitting.
  • Bring appropriate items to school.
  • No toys and sports equipment are permitted at school without the permission of the principal.
  • Bicycles are for students in grades 4, 5, and onwards and must be appropriately locked. Unsafe riding may result in denial of the privilege.

 

Accept responsibility for your actions.

 

  • Be honest and tell the truth.
  • Willful disobedience will not be tolerated.
  • Stealing will not be tolerated.

 

DRESS STANDARDS

Children should come to school dressed appropriately for task of learning demonstrating their awareness of importance of the education. A child’s attire should promote and environment of respect. Students are expected to wear apparel that is age appropriate and reflect a sense of modesty whether sitting in a classroom or playing on the playground. A student coming to school with in-appropriate dress will be required to call his/her parents to bring a change in clothes. Repeated violations will result in disciplinary actions. Dress standards are outlined below:-

For Boys:-

Summer uniform:- white shirt, military green paint, black shoes, white socks, school tie and belt
Winter uniform:- white shirt, military green paint, black shoes, white socks, school tie and belt,
military green sweater, Dark Reddish purple(Maroon) blazer. Blazer is mandatory after 1 December for all
students Saturday:- White shirt, White paint, White PT shoes and school tie, belt

For Girls:-

Summer uniform:-White shirt, military green skirt, black shoes, white long socks, school tie and belt
Winter uniform:- White shirt, military green skirt, black shoes, white long socks, school tie and belt, military green sweater, Dark Reddish purple(Maroon) blazer. Blazer is mandatory after 1 December for all students
Saturday:- White shirt, White skirt, White PT shoes and school tie, belt

ABSENCE AND INDEPENDENT STUDY

For student safety and attendance purpose, please remember, when your child is absent from school you need to call the school each day, otherwise students are requested to give a written application duly signed by parents stating the number of days student is unable to attend the school with the reason for the absence. If the child is going to be absent for more than 5 days due to personal reasons we encourage parents to ask for independent study from your child’s teacher. This request should be made prior to scheduled absence, so teacher can provide work for child. Independent study is provided so that your child will be able to keep up with their studies while away from the school.

EXAMINATIONS

 

  • Exams are conducted three times in an academic session accomplished by unit tests.
  • First terminal exams are held in the month of August.
  • Second terminal exams are held in the month of November.
  • Third terminal exams are held in the month of March.
  • There is no provision for re-examination if a student is absent for personal reasons.
  • Students must clear at least 2 terminal exams for promotion to the next class.

 

LUNCH

It is very important that your child bring their lunch to school with them in morning, It is quite disruptive to the instructional program for the office to contact the classroom when parent drops off child’s lunch after school has started, therefore the office staff may not be able to contact the classroom without disruption. In the event that lunch has to be dropped off by parent, the child’s lunch will be kept in front of office. It will be child’s responsibility to collect the lunch box.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Summer Time: 8:00 a.m. to 01:10 p.m.
Winter Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m.
