For student safety and attendance purpose, please remember, when your child is absent from school you need to call the school each day, otherwise students are requested to give a written application duly signed by parents stating the number of days student is unable to attend the school with the reason for the absence. If the child is going to be absent for more than 5 days due to personal reasons we encourage parents to ask for independent study from your child’s teacher. This request should be made prior to scheduled absence, so teacher can provide work for child. Independent study is provided so that your child will be able to keep up with their studies while away from the school.
It is very important that your child bring their lunch to school with them in morning, It is quite disruptive to the instructional program for the office to contact the classroom when parent drops off child’s lunch after school has started, therefore the office staff may not be able to contact the classroom without disruption. In the event that lunch has to be dropped off by parent, the child’s lunch will be kept in front of office. It will be child’s responsibility to collect the lunch box.
